Mike Williams and Friends, with Matt McCabe, Lenny Bradford, and Forrest Padgett
This group features four well-seasoned and versatile musicians from around New England, who will be performing a mix of classics and originals, in the blues, jazz, and soul styles.
Mike Williams (guitar) is a long-time Waltham resident. He has recorded and performed with the Grammy-winning James Cotton Blues Band, an other artists such as David “Fathead” Newman, David Maxwell, Bruce Katz, Toni Lynn Washington, Michelle Willson, Commander Cody, and others. Williams is a long-time professor at Berklee College of Music, where he specializes in teaching a mix of blues and jazz styles.
Matt McCabe (keyboard) is one of New England’s heavy hitting blues and jazz pianists. He’s performed and/or recorded with artists such as Jimmy Rogers, Duke Robillard, Anson Funderburgh, Roomfull of Blues, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Boz Scaggs, Buddy Guy, Ruth Brown, and more.
Lenny Bradford, (vocals and bass), has toured extensively with a multitude of renowned blues and R&B artists, such as Joe Louis Walker, Willie J. Laws, James Montgomery, Toni Lynn Washington, and many others.
Forrest Padgett has worked as a highly acclaimed drummer around New England and the U.S. for some forty-plus years. Since 2016, he’s performed and recorded as a member of Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters. Forrest has also shared the stage with many others, including Paul Rishell, Duke Robillard, Little Charlie Baty, Charlie Musselwhite, Luther Guitar Jr. Johnson, The Radio Kings, Brian Templeton, and Lavern Baker.
